Why attend?

Now in its 20th year, the Vilnius GreenTech Forum brings together between 500 and 600 policy and business leaders, experts, startup founders, and researchers from Lithuania as well as neighbouring and more distant democracies. Together, they share insights on green progress being made in energy, transport, mobility, and other economic sectors; present cutting-edge solutions and technologies being deployed; and discuss the future, network, and collaborate.

To address the most important topics, the forum hosts between 25 and 27 sessions. An app activated ahead of the forum will allow participants to arrange meetings with one another, and a dedicated space will be set up at the forum for exactly these meetings.

For all these reasons, the Vilnius GreenTech Forum is an essential event for businesses active in the Baltic region — and, given the forum’s mission, likely for all leaders committed to a secure future for democracies.

Twenty years ago, we founded the Vilnius GreenTech Forum in an effort to confront the systems and influence groups that had driven Lithuania and much of the European Union into deep dependence on Gazprom gas. At the time, we warned that the billions paid for gas would one day finance weapons used to kill, destroy cities, and drag democracies into the flames of war.
That is precisely what happened. Today, we therefore feel a responsibility to unite, to the best of our ability, democratic forces in business, politics, and society around a decisive breakthrough: advancing a form of green progress that would sustainably and increasingly reduce oil consumption in ways most beneficial to democratic economies and citizens’ well-being, while minimizing the threat of new wars in Europe financed by oil billions.

We believe this is one of the most important goals that forward-looking and patriotic
business leaders and professionals should pursue together with us today. This
becomes clear when reading the insights outlined in our forum mission.

We encourage you to explore the forum’s mission and the key objectives for 2026, which will later shape the forum sessions, and to accept our invitation to collaborate, to unite and work together toward a form of progress that helps secure a safe and peaceful future for democratic Europe.
We will greatly appreciate your questions, thoughts, suggestions, and, of course, your support, as it is essential for successfully carrying out our mission. Please contact my colleague Almantas Gliožeris at almantas@valstybe.eu.
